Our pour
Fourteen days on a rack is the whole trick.
Most candles you can buy were poured, boxed and shipped inside forty-eight hours. They smell fine in the jar and disappointing in the room, because fragrance oil needs time to bind to wax, and nobody wants to pay for a shelf to sit on while that happens.
We pay for the shelf. Every batch cures two weeks before it can be sold, which is why our release calendar is slow and why the throw on a cold jar is not a lie.
The wax
Coconut-soy, not paraffin
A coconut and soy blend burns cooler and cleaner than paraffin and holds a higher fragrance load without sweating. It is more expensive per pound and it frosts if the room gets cold, which is cosmetic and which we are not going to pretend is a feature. It just burns better.
Wicks are braided cotton, sized per scent. Vessels are thick soda-lime glass that you can wash out and keep.
What we will not do
Three things we skip.
- No dyes. Colour adds nothing to scent and it clogs wicks.
- No "seasonal" relabelling of the same base. A new name means a new blend.
- No fragrance list you cannot read. Every note is on the product page.
